Starting 1 September 2025, a major regulation will come into force in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC) regarding third-party compulsory motor insurance.

From this date forward:

  • 💸 Cash

  • 🧾 Cheques

  • 💳 Traditional POS credit card payments

will no longer be accepted for motor insurance policies.

All transactions must be carried out digitally through the central insurance system.
